Curd Cutter

A curd cutter was used to cut and stir the curd.

This hand-held curd cutter, resembling a harp, has both a sharp and a blunt side. The sharp side was used to cut the curd, and the blunt side to stir. Today, many cheese factories use computer-controlled curd cutters, but this was done manually in the past. The curd cutter in this collection dates back to 1923.
